I saw an entry in add remove programs for SSMSBoost 2008, but not 2012.

I've installed it again, but still no luck.

How do I uninstall completely?

I have checked the following:
I had both SSMSBoost 2008 and 2012 installed on the same machine.
Opened "Add/Remove Programms"
Uninstalled 2008, 2012 was still to see there. Uninstalled 2012 - nothing left.
Probably you might have problems with persmissions of only 2008 version was installed.

Why do you uninstall SSMSBoost ? I would appreciate any feedback !
Thank you.

I'm still using/evaluating 2008.

Just investigating performance issues with ssms 2012. Running a lenovo W530, quad core i7, 20 GB RAM, samsung pro ssd. Ripping system, yet 2012 takes over 30 seconds to launch. I've removed all add-ins but yours. your warning tool tip, "eval period" is expired, is the FIRST thing i see every time I finish waiting for it to launch is RE expiration, thus, right or wrong, guilt by association.

I'll play with it some more, but I've already installed this twice, still no add remove entry.

To "unregister" SSMSBoost from SSMS2012 manually just find and delete
SSMSBoost.addin

file in

C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\MSEnvShared\AddIns

ok. great. I suppose that the problem could be in restricted permissions (maybe installed under admin, and trying to remove under simple user...).
Check v2.9 released today...

That is not the case. I'm a long time user of ssmsboost, log in to my boxes as admin almost always, and have never seen an uninstall for "ssms boost for 2012/14". (on ANY machine)

Ironically, I just recently started using SSMS 2016 and I DO see the uninstall for that.

There's obviously a non-trivial issue with the windows installer of the 2012/14 version of the product.
