I know that you are still working on Ver 3.0 which introduced support for SSMS 2016.

Microsoft is already planning to release SSMS 17 (which is RC3 state now). Do you plan to introduce support for SSMS 17? What is your expectation on the timeline for support?

Has anyone tried installing SSMSBoost with v17.0?

I have SSMS 17 running. But SSMS Boost simply doesn't show up there. I end up using a competitor product for now with SSMS 17...

Hi Alexander, would you mind sharing the name with us?
If it is contrary to the forum rules maybe you could send it to me by private email? (criguada at gmail dot com)
I have been looking for an alternative while waiting for ssmsboost to catch up, but have found nothing.

Thank you in advance

Cris, I don't think it ethically appropriate name any competitor here.
I can tell you that there are multiple options, they don't have exactly the same functionality.
They have key (for me) functionality like query history, connection coloring, session management.
Though none of them are free (I have a license for 3 of them including SSMS Boost).

Thank you for your reply Alexander.
For me it would have been just a temporary measure while SSMSBoost catches up.
Anyway, since you mention that they're not free, I don't think it would have helped.

Thanks!

Hello,

I've been using this fantastic tool for several years already. Among the best features for me belongs the list of all the databases in connections list for each server of the preferred connections. Anyway since I recently started to use 2017 version, I cannot see the databases in connections list anymore.

Any findings, planned fixes for this please?

Thank you,

BR

Please send us a screenshot to support@ssmsboost.com along with version information of SSMSBoost and Server you are connected to.
Also check Settings->Preferred connections (list local databases).

Hello,

I have one more update regarding my issue. Everything works perfectly when logging to MSSQL server. But it doesn't work when logging to Azure SQL. I this was working in previous versions also without any problems.

Tnx, we have already discovered several issues with Azure servers and plan to release a fix within next 10 days.
